Privacy Policy

Mephitideus Interactive ("we", "us", or "our") provides Chip Savage Golf (also called Chip Savage), including the Android app and chipsavage.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you play or contact us.

1. Information Stored on Your Device

The game uses local storage for progress, scores, achievements, gameplay statistics, a player name you choose, audio and control preferences, tutorial status, and cosmetic settings. These records let the game remember your choices and progress between visits. They are not uploaded to a publisher-operated leaderboard or account service in the current release.

The game also prepares gameplay and technical events in memory, such as scores, session duration, achievements, viewport size, input method, and platform. Some events may contain your chosen player name. The current release does not connect this event queue to a remote analytics service. Advertising is disabled in this release.

2. Google Play Games

In Android builds where Google Play Games is available, Google may sign you in according to your Play Games settings. The game can receive your Play Games player ID and display name, and send scores and achievement updates to Google to provide leaderboards and achievements. Your profile, scores, and achievements may be visible to others according to the feature and your Google settings.

Google processes account, device, and service information under its own Privacy Policy. We do not receive your Google password. You can manage automatic sign-in, profile visibility, and game data through Google Play Games settings. Availability depends on your platform and build; the browser game does not offer Play Games sign-in.

3. Website and Network Services

When you access the website, hosting providers receive technical request information such as your IP address, browser details, requested resources, and request times to deliver and secure the site. The game also requests fonts from Google Fonts, which exposes network information such as your IP address and request headers to Google. See Google Fonts privacy information. These legal pages use local assets and do not load Google Fonts or advertising scripts.

4. Contacting Us

If you email service@skunked.io, we receive your email address and the information you send. We use it to respond, troubleshoot issues, and handle privacy requests. Please do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information.

5. How Information Is Used and Shared

Information is used to operate the game, remember settings, provide enabled platform features, respond to support requests, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising in this release. Service providers such as hosting, email, and Google Play Games may process information to provide their services. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to protect legal rights and users.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on providing the service you request, legitimate interests in service security and support, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where required. Service providers may process information outside your country, subject to applicable data-protection requirements.

6. Retention and Security

Local game data remains until you clear it or your browser or device removes it. Device or operating-system backup settings may preserve or restore app data. Support messages are retained only as needed to address the request, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. Google and hosting providers manage their records under their own policies.

We use reasonable safeguards for information we handle, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure. Local saves may be lost when storage is cleared or a device is changed; we do not promise cloud backup of game progress.

7. Your Choices and Data Deletion

• Browser saves: clear site data for chipsavage.com in your browser settings. This removes local progress and preferences.
• Android saves: open Android Settings, select Chip Savage under Apps, then use Storage / Clear storage (wording varies by device). Manage device backups separately if enabled.
• Google Play Games: use Play Games settings to manage sign-in and delete this game's Play Games data. See Google's game-data deletion instructions. Clearing local saves does not delete data held by Google.
• Information held by us: email service@skunked.io with the subject "Chip Savage privacy request" to request access, correction, or deletion. Describe your request and provide only information needed to identify the relevant record. We may need to verify your identity.

Depending on your location, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain a portable copy of information, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. We respond as required by applicable law; some information may need to be retained for legal reasons. The current release does not create a separate Mephitideus Interactive account.

8. Children

Chip Savage Golf is intended for players aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate. Additional parental permission requirements may apply under local law or platform rules.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this policy when the game or its services change. Updates will appear here with a revised effective date, and we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required. New advertising, analytics, purchase, or account services will require a review of this policy before activation.
